Meet the teacher
I’m Thejo Achari, a high school student with 12 years of experience in three different Indian classical dance styles (Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak). I’m passionate about sharing my love for dance and helping students grow in their skills and confidence.
My offer for you
I teach Indian classical dance styles including Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, focusing on their unique techniques, expressions, and storytelling traditions. Each style offers students a chance to connect with India's rich cultural heritage while developing discipline, grace, and self-expression.
Competition Prep
I provide comprehensive competition preparation, including detailed dance piece cleanups to ensure precision and confidence on stage. Additionally, I choreograph new dance pieces, helping students refine their choreography and performance skills for upcoming competitions.
Individual classes
I offer individual classes in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, tailoring each session to focus on the specific techniques and nuances of the dance form. These personalized lessons help students progress at their own pace, allowing for a deeper understanding and mastery of the dance styles.
Small groups
I offer small group dance classes for Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, where students can collaborate and learn together in a supportive environment. These group sessions foster teamwork, synchronize performances, and allow students to explore the dynamics of dancing as a cohesive unit.
My Mission
My mission is to inspire students through the art of dance while directing all proceeds from my classes to support St. Jude's Hospital in their efforts to treat and cure childhood cancer. Through this, I aim to create a meaningful impact both in the lives of my students and those in need of life-saving care.
